The slideshows on this page are memory hogs.  Even with cable Broadband, they can take up to four minutes to load (depending on the size), more for other types of IPs.  But the wait is well worth it.  And turn up your sound; each slideshow is coupled to a song.  Hopefully, these slideshows will demonstrate to you the "magic" of the Telos wilderness program.

Slideshows of 2005 Wilderness Activities

This year there are two slideshows.  The first is accompanied by Coldplay "Fix You."  And the second by Rick Springfield's "Speak to the Sky."

Slideshows of 2006 Wilderness Activities

The first of our 2006 slideshows is of residents on outings to the ghost town of Bodie, to Death Valley National Park, snow camping in the Sierra Nevada mountains, and on a raft trip down the East Carson River.  It is accompanied by the music "Dreams" by the Cranberries.  The second show was done to honor our staff.  It's music is "Believe" by Yellowcard.  The third show covers our annual summer camp and whitewater rafting on the South Fork of the American River.  Music is "The Plan" by Simple Plan.  The fourth and last show is a 65 mile raft trip down the Trinity and Klamath Rivers.  Again the rock group Simple Plan provides the musical accompaniment with the song "I'm Just a Kid."

Slideshows of 2007 Wilderness Activities

Our first 2007 slideshow features residents in the backcountry of Death Valley, rafting the East Fork of the Carson River, and visiting the ghost town of Bodie.  It's to the music of "Bad Day" by Daniel Powter.  The second slideshow is of a night hike into a high Sierra lake and our annual canoe-in mountain training camp. It is accompanied by Cat Stevens' "On the Road to Find Out."   The 3rd show is a raft descent of the Trinity and Klamath Rivers to the music of Green Day's "Wake Me When September Ends."

Slideshows of 2008 Wilderness Activities

The first 2008 slideshow is of residents at a late Fall fish camp in near Desolation Wilderness, snow camping in the high Sierras, and hiking and camping the back country of Death Valley National Park.  It is accompanied by music by Good Charlotte, "Young and the Hopeless." The second slideshow is dedicated to three longstanding and generous Telos donors (Crenshaw Rall, Tom Rall, and Tim Schroeder) whose generosity through years of financially difficult times has allowed us to continue the wilderness program which greatly benefits our residents.  It is set to Tom Petty's "Walls."  The third 2008 slideshow is of Telos' Mountain Training Camp (held annually.)  It is to Queen's "Someone to Love."
